Gaining access to Dragonriding typically takes about 30 minutes once you’ve arrived on the Dragon Isles and initiated your adventure in the Waking Shores. Following the completion of a short introductory quest series, you’ll be presented with your very first Dragon Isles Drake and the opportunity to utilize the initial set of Dragonriding skills.
Once you’re told to meet Alexstrasza at the Ruby Lifeshrine, you can take on the “Dragonriding” quest, which will lead you to Lord Andestrasz. He’ll give you your first dragonriding mount, and you’ll have some training flights to get the hang of dragonriding

Unlocking Dragonriding Talents is part of the Dragonriding introduction questline for players exploring the Dragon Isles for the first time. In the quest “Dragon Glyphs and You,” you’ll be introduced to Dragonriding talents and obtain your first Dragonriding glyph and talent.Once unlocked, all your characters can benefit from them, allowing you to extend your time in the air and improve your overall dragon riding skills.
To upgrade your Dragonriding, you need to collect Dragon glyphs all around the map. We recommend using the HandyNotes addon. HandyNotes will display Dragon glyph icons on your map when you open it, making it easy to fly and collect the Dragon glyphs. If you’re an adventurous person, you can also use the TomTom and Paste addons, which allow you to copy and paste the locations of the Dragon glyphs.
